Dr Abdulaziz Alarifi has over 15 years of experience in the international field of fire safety engineering, five of which were in fire science research at the University of Leeds, UK, where he was awarded a PhD for his experimental research in compartment fire toxicity, he has published several peer-reviewed journal and conference publications and presented in various international forums.
Dr Alarifi holds three degrees in fire safety engineering, BEng(Hons), MSc, and PhD. He is fully licenced and practiced Fire Engineering consultancy in the UK, UAE and KSA and is accredited by Saudi Civil Defence, and he is a Professional Engineer from the Saudi Council of Engineers, he is currently the managing director of SAGR Consulting Engineers.

Dr Alarifi's strong scientific background allowed him to capitalise on the technical skills /knowledge he possesses to quality assure and manage delivery of wide range of consultancy projects including Fire Safety Design strategies, Fire Safety Operational Strategies, Fire Safety Management Plans, Design Guides, Third Party Review and Approval as Civil Defence accredited consultant, Fire Engineering Design Solutions (Performance based designs), on-site installation supervision and material approval for over 50 projects in various sectors (e.g. healthcare, hospitality, residential, commercial, retail, storage facilities and airports) in 7 countries across 3 continents.

Eng. Salman Al-Qahtani has over 20 years of experience in reviewing and approving various buildings and activities ranging from small shops to key iconic projects during his career with Civil Defense until his early retirement as a colonel, additionally as part of his career he drafted several technical studies, regulations and field inspections for various buildings' types. He is also an advisor to the Saudi Building Code Committee, in addition to being an accredited SBC coach for the Saudi Council of Engineers.
